🛠️Getting set up

BookedSolid has been designed to be very quick and easy to get started with taking online bookings and payments for your service business. Follow this guide below for assistance. If you need any help or have any questions, don't hesitate to email us at [email protected].

Step 1: Registering your Account

To register a free account with BookedSolid, simply visit https://dashboard.bookedsolid.co.uk/login?show=register and fill out your name, email and password.

Once this is complete, you will be prompted to create a site. You will be asked for the following information (which you can always edit later):

• Site name - You can just use your business' name if you only have one site.

• Location

• Website URL - This should be the URL you plan to use the booking system on. This can be the same for multiple sites.

• Bookable Type - This is what bookables will be labelled as on the customer-facing booking page.

Step 2: Setting your Business' Branding

Once you have registered, you will land in the setup page of your new admin dashboard. You can always find this page here: https://dashboard.bookedsolid.co.uk/settings

Scroll to the 'Client Account' section and enter the following information:

• Business Name

• Logo - In a URL format.

• Colour Palette - The three boxes represent the primary, secondary & tertiary colours, respectfully. If you do not have 3 colours in your brand palette, you may repeat colours. Please ensure these colours have good contrast against a white background.

• Enable Blog checkbox - Select this to gain access to the blog functionality, at no extra charge.

• Enable On Demand checkbox - Select this to gain access to the video content distribution, functionality at no extra charge.

Step 3: Integrating Online Payments

We use the Stripe payment gateway. If you haven't already, please create an account for Stripe at https://stripe.com/gb. Once you have created and set up your Stripe account, you will need to enter the following information:

• Publishable key - Go to https://dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys and click on the publishable key.

• Secret key - On the same page as above, click '+ Create Secret Key'. We need this to create Stripe payments to your account.

• Webhook Signing Secret - Go to https://dashboard.stripe.com/webhooks, click '+ Add Endpoint', set the endpoint URL to https://api.bookedsolid.co.uk/stripe/webhook and add the checkout.session.completed event. We need this key to see when a customer has successfully made a payment to you.

You have now enabled Stripe on your account. Please see Creating a Price to begin accepting paments. Note that all payments go directly to your Stripe account and we do not take a cut of any kind.

Step 4: Embedding on your Website

With BookedSolid, you can embed booking, user profile, blog and on demand video pages directly into your website using iframes. In your account's settings page, scroll down to 'Generate Iframes' and click the 'Get code' button on the page you want to embed. The code will now be copied to clipboard.

You can send this code to your website manager, paste it into your websites code, or use it in an embedded element in a website builder.
